There are some truths many people accept, but I suspect another illusion. I feel I'm in relation to Plato's cave where people believe in a truth they later found was not true. I believe that being a single is better than be married, because it's more freedom and less responsibilties than a married person. In contrast, many people think that being married is more benefits because they might become a more responsible person, feel more security and get more concerned or helps from each other when they're in troubles and sick. However, I changed my belief, and agree with people who think that being married is better than single. Here is an evidence that causes the change of my point of view.
My aunty, Angela, who was married with Henry 2 years ago. Before her marriage, her life was messed up. She was living alone and being ouside most of the days. She couldn't control herself by spending money alot which caused her financial difficulties. After she met Henry, they fall in love and get married. It makes her life totally different from before and turning in a right way. For instance, she became a responsible person on family organization, and get control with her spending. When she gets sick, she would be concerned and taken care from her husband. Unlikely, there's nobody took care of her while she got sick during her single period. Also, she feels more safety than she lived alone before. They share their worries form each other, and solve them together. They seem very happiness in their marriage.
Over all, I recognized being married is not bad as I thought, depends on what I heard and be convinced by my aunty's experience. I always think that marriage is horrible and reject it before my aunty told me that. It could be an awsome life if we handle it well.

Blog 4: summary of "The Allegory of the Cave"
The republic "The Allegory of the Cave" tells a story that test the humans' reactions after they reach to the realities. There are humans have chained on their legs and necks in the cave. Thus, they can't move, and can only see the images that pass by over the wall because the fire is behind them. As a whole day, they would look at the shadows and think the shadows talked to each other by the sound of the sound reflection from the other side. One of the prisoners was released, and got pain in his eyes by the light. Certainly, it took time for him to completely get accustomed to the light. After then, he sees the realities in the world. For instance, he sees shadows best, and the stars spangled in the sky. Also, he wants to share this experience with his friends. Unfortunately, his friends reject him because he won't able to see the world as they do. Finally, we learn that the true knowledge is distressful from this allegory.

Blog 3: Revise the Diagnostic
The passage "HYPE" by
Kalle Lasn indicated that advertisements are increasing so quickly from day by
day. However, they have a disadvantage is that commercial contamination seems
rubbishes which bristle people’s brains with uncountable commercials. They
appear almost everywhere in our living environment after added new places
(including buses, billboards, stadiums). They spread out by TV, radio, posters,
newspapers, network, and etc. For instance, you will see the ads on the nozzle
when you fill your car with gas; Children watch Pepsi and Snickers ads in the
classroom; Also, you might see ads from a company called VideoCarte while you
shop in the supermarket. I strongly agree with the idea that the author had
mentioned is commercials are such trashes in people's mind, because I feel it
represents the significance that they usually hide the truth (bad consequences)
for inducing people to consume with their products or services. Actually, most
of the products or services people purchased are different from the commercials
had shown and described. There are two experiences from me and my friend who
had suffered the same problem.
Some of skin care products are useless, but
in their ads, they have been exaggerated. For instance, my friend, Elaine, who bought
many skin care brands after watched their ads from TV, such as Chanel, La
Prairie, DIOR, Lancôme, and Clinique. Those ads show that women’s skin are
getting better and look younger than before. Certainly, Elaine trusted them and
tried one by one. However, her skin still looked same as before. Finally, she
went to dermatologist to figure out which skin care products for her are valid,
and ignored to buy the any of skin care products from ads.
Unfortunately, I experienced the
same problem too. I watched several commercials of hair products which
described how those shampoos and conditions are efficient and fantastic. For example,
their models’ hair are no longer with dandruff, also they look bright and touch
as smooth as silk after used those products which are Pantene, Dove, Head &
Shoulders, TRESemme, and etc. Of course, the result is not the same as they
showed on commercials because I’ve never gotten rid of dandruff from my hair,
and still dryness. From now on, I’m never going to trust any of the promotions
from commercials.
Obviously, advertisements are
trustless and footle on the basis of the experiences
above. They are irresponsible for the products which had promoted. To encourage
people to expend their money on the products by concealing the truth and
overstate the results are the selling method from the manufacturers. So,
don’t be cheated from them! Although,
we are unable to prevent those ads’ arises, but we can choose to trust or not.
I think it’s the only way to avoid from wasting our money on the worthless
products.
